I have been a paraplegic for over 20 years. It has been tough sometimes but I have been able to overcome many things and make a life for myself. My life is very different from what it was but I feel that I am blessed in what I have been able to do. I am as fit and healthy as the next guy and it just means I have to find different ways to do some things.


I am a pilot and I also enjoy music, reading and writing. In fact I would like to make a career out of writing. At present I have a book before a publisher so here's hoping it all comes off!

I am a father to two children but they are grown now and have their own lives. I am still very much a part of their lives but they are out there now building a life for themselves.


I hate trying to describe myself without sounding too over the top. I would like to think that I have a good sense of humour and that I care about what is happening in other people's lives, whether it is good or bad. Life doesn't always go the way you want it to but I try to turn the negative stuff into positive. Life is too short to focus on the downside. . . . .

In the interests section of my profile I am more than just interested in museums etc but I can't seem to get it to work properly. I guess our past life should be in a museum, as it is ancient history!

I am looking for someone who is smart, intelligent and has a sense of humour. Someone who is loving, caring and not afraid to say what is on their mind. Someone who knows that life isn't perfect all the time but seeks to bring out the best in others. Someone who tries to see the best in people.

I am looking for someone who wants a long term relationship. Something permanent, not a one night stand. I am not looking for a meaningless fling. I am looking for someone genuine and someone who wants to be loved.

I would also be happy to meet an American as I have been there before and am seriously looking at living over there for a while. . . .

When I was in the USA I travelled through 22 states from down south through Alabama and Florida to the Midwest and NYC as well as driving down the west coast of the US from Oregon to LA. Would love to do it again hopefully this time with someone by my side.
